Starting Status

Now that the chronicle has started, this is for new characters starting in Kansas City. Characters traveling here, retain clan and covenant status and city status follow the rules in the Red Book.

For the start of chronicle (June 1st, 2013), as all levels of City Status are Low approval, and Clan and Covenant are Low Approval up to 3:

To have started on June 1st, 2013 with more than 1 status due to a position, please register your character's position with the Storyteller on site in June. This is to represent the prior IC registration with the Chamberlain in previous months.
  • If you have an approval number for a type of Status, that is your starting Status
  • Everybody in a clan starts with a minimum of a Clan status of 1
  • Everybody in a covenant starts with a minimum of a Covenant status of 1
  • Everybody in the city starts with a minimum of KC status of 1e
  • Dukes (with the exception of the Duke of Westport)
    • start the chronicle with KC status of 4
  • Counts, Earls, and Marquis, and the Duke of Westport:
    • start the chronicle with KC status of 3
  • Barons:
    • start the chronicle with KC status of 2
  • All Priscus 
    • start the chronicle with Clan Status of 3
    • start the chronicle with KC Status of 3
  • A Second of a Priscus - if they are named going into the first game
    • start the chronicle with a Clan Status of 2
    • start the chronicle with a KC Status of 2
  • A covenant lead (if the covenant chooses to have one outside of a Senator)
    • start the chronicle with Covenant Status of 3
    • start the chronicle with KC status of 2
      • Except for Ordo, who are secretive
  • All Senators:
    • start the chronicle with Covenant Status of 3
    • start the chronicle with KC status of 3
  • A Second of a Senator - if they are named going into the first game
    • start the chronicle with Covenant status of 2
    • start the chronicle with KC status of 2
  • The Master of Elysium, Herald, Sheriff and Harpy
    • start the chronicle with KC status of 4
  • The Chamberlain, and any Keepers of Elysium in tenurial domains
    • start the chronicle with KC status of 3
  • The President
    • start the chronicle with KC status of 5
Cadence:
  • As anything over Cadence 2 must have Mid or higher approval, only those with it approved can start with that level of Cadence.
  • Cadence is now Low approval and all character start as Base Cadence (Base Cadence is a calculated value which is a character's current Cadence "cap").
  • If you have City Status of 2 or higher, you start the chronicle with a Cadence of 2.
  • Otherwise you start the chronicle with a Cadence of 1.
